The most important phase of any website migration (and one that a lot of brands ignore). The research phase is where the real preparation happens. All work listed below is undertaken before the migration begins.

• An audit of your existing internal link architecture to identify opportunities for improvement during the migration
• A detailed backlink analysis to minimise value loss post-migration
• A granular content audit with redirect mapping to preserve authority and link equity if the site structure is changing. This is also a great opportunity to cull poorly performing content
Once key changes are made and the site is moved to the staging environment, we continue to monitor and audit the site until it’s ready to move to production.
During this phase, we confirm that redirects are working correctly, internal links are properly mapped and the site is hitting the right technical benchmarks.
When the site is ready to move to production, we conduct over 100 pre-launch checks to ensure that recommendations have been implemented correctly.
Once the site is live, our team will re-audit the site to confirm a smooth transition, flagging any issues immediately with your team.
We will also initiate the change of domain protocol, undertake post-launch redirect checks and continue to run regular performance benchmarks as the site is crawled and indexed for the first time by search engines.
